Our commitment to child safety
SocialMap is committed to maintaining a safe platform, and we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). It has no place on SocialMap, in any form or context.
SocialMap is an app for adults meeting in the real world. We do not provide a service directed at children, we do not offer a child-directed experience, and we do not permit minors to create an account.
You must be 18 or older
- SocialMap is intended only for users aged 18 and over.
- Children are not permitted to create an account or use the service.
- Signing up requires a real date of birth. Misrepresenting your age breaks the Terms of Service.
- When we find an account belonging to a minor, we remove it.
We do not knowingly collect data from minors — see the Privacy Policy. If you know a minor is using SocialMap, report it from inside the app or email support@socialmaphq.com.
Prohibited content and conduct
You may never use SocialMap to post, share, request, store or distribute:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any visual depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
- Child sexual exploitation — including sextortion, trafficking, and any commercial exploitation of a minor.
- Grooming — contacting a minor, or building trust with one, in order to sexually abuse them.
- Sexualisation of minors — any content that presents a minor in a sexual manner, including drawings, text, animation and AI-generated material.
- Requests involving minors — soliciting images, a meeting or sexual contact with a minor, or offering or seeking such material.
- Any other content that violates applicable child safety laws, including the laws of the State of Israel and of the country you live in.
How the product reduces the risk
Some of the protection for minors comes from how SocialMap is built, not only from enforcement after the fact:
- 18+ for every user, as a condition of creating an account.
- No private messaging. SocialMap has no one-to-one chat between users. Chat exists only inside an activity, and only between participants the host has approved — so there is no private channel through which someone can approach an individual user alone.
- Joining requires approval. Nobody joins an activity without the host's explicit approval.
- Block and report from every screen. You can block or report a user, an activity, or a message, from inside the app.
We do not claim this design prevents all harm. It removes the surface where harm to minors usually happens, and the rest depends on reporting, review and enforcement.
How to report
Any user can report directly from inside the app, immediately, without contacting us first. You can report:
- Users — from the user's profile.
- Activities — from the activity screen.
- Chat messages — from an activity's group chat.
You can also block a user. Blocking is mutual: neither of you will see the other.
If you encounter apparent CSAM, or behaviour that puts a minor at risk, report it in the app immediately and email us at support@socialmaphq.com. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first — in Israel, the Israel Police on 100.
Review, moderation and enforcement
Every report is read by a person. We review the reported content — a profile, an activity or a message — together with the context in which it appeared.
Where we find a violation of these standards, the measures available to us include:
- Content removal — deleting the image, message or activity.
- Account suspension — restricting or suspending the account, including while we investigate.
- Permanent account termination — ending the account with no route back.
For apparent CSAM, our default is immediate removal and permanent termination of the account.
Safety records — reports, blocks and moderation decisions — are retained after an account is deleted, in anonymised form, so that a reported user cannot erase the record simply by signing up again; see Delete Account. Where the law requires evidence to be preserved for an investigation, we preserve the records needed for it.
Child safety contact
Our public point of contact for child safety matters — for users, authorities, child protection organisations and the app stores — is support@socialmaphq.com.
So we can act quickly, put “Child safety” in the subject line, and describe where in the app the content is and when you saw it.
For anything else, see the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service and Delete Account.
